This is the view from my friend Louis's apartment in the Sumida district of Tokyo. In the foreground is Sky Tree, soon to be Tokyo's tallest building. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2011, it will replace the current Tokyo Tower (the orange Eiffel Tower looking structure in the background to the right of Sky Tree) for hosting Tokyo's TV digital terrestrial coverage, and be nearly twice as tall.
