Memoirs of a Lost Gaijin

Thanks to my friend Guillaume, I discovered this interesting cafe called La Spazio in Gakugeidaigaku. Apparently, is an authentic Italian style cafe, where you stand up at the bar and order your coffee or other beverages. If you sit at a table, your drinks cost more. The cafe attracts a rather eclectic clientele not normally seen at your garden variety Starbucks or Doutour. And the proprietor, who must have been trained in Italy, takes meticulous care in preparing your coffee, tastefully crafting an aesthetically pleasing design in the steamed milk. Guillaume was quite humble in telling me that his fellow French pale in comparison to the Italians when it comes to coffee.
