On a balmy first night of winter.
Shimokitazawa is one of Tokyo's hipper neighborhoods. It's full of interesting restaurants, bars, cafes, and used or out of print record, CD, and DVD shops. It's popular among Tokyo's young and beautiful, and it's a fun area in which to stroll around. Unfortunately, plans are afoot to build a freeway right through it, which would effectively ruin it. There has been some opposition among Shimokitazawa's residents to this plan, and I certainly hope they prevail against the powers that be. Save Shimokitazawa!
